North Macedonia (then referred to as ‘FYR Macedonia’) debuted at the inaugural Junior Eurovision in Copenhagen.

Marija and Viktorija performed that year, treating audiences to Ti Ne Me Poznavaš (‘You Don’t Know Me’) and placing 12th overall.

The most successful entries are courtesy of Rosica Kulakova and Dimitar Stojmenovski, who finished 5th in 2007 with Ding Ding Dong, and Bobi Andonov who matched that result the following year with his anthem Prati Mi SMS (‘Follow Me By Text’).

Although they have yet to win or host the show, their presence at the competition has been consistent, missing the Contest on only 3 occasions.
