Max & Anne
Max and Anne will represent the Netherlands at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk with the song 'Samen'.Max & Anne will hit the stage at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk where they will represent the Netherlands. Their power ballad Samen (Together) is about the friendship between a boy and a girl who can’t be together anymore.
Max is 14 years old and lives in Houten with his older brother and parents. Before he auditioned to be the Dutch representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, he was a contestant in The Voice Kids. Even though Max is deaf in one ear, it absolutely doesn’t limit his vocal abilities. And Max surely isn’t camera shy: in his free time he likes to film and edit videos for his own YouTube-channel.
Anne is also 14 years old and lives in Voorschoten with her mother and sister. When she was only 8 years old, she played young Anastasia in the musical ‘Anastasia’. Since then she has played in several musicals such as ‘The Sound of Music’ and ‘Ciske the Rat’.
Just like Max, she participated in The Voice Kids. Apart from her singing talent, Anne is also a well-known actress for her role in the scripted reality series ‘De Eindmusical’. With all this experience she decided to take the next step and audition to be a Dutch representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Max & Anne were the Dutch voter’s favourites and in September 2018 they won the national finals. Now they can’t wait to show the world what they can do and to move others with their song. For the first time in Junior Eurovision history, the Netherlands will bring a boy-girl duo to the stage. Max and Anne have become the best of friends and are eager to enjoy this amazing international adventure together. They look forward to performing on the big stage and also to meeting the other contestants.
