Get ready for 'La Festa' with the Netherlands' Luna!
08 December 2022 at 12:00 CETTwelve-year-old Luna has been studying ballet, modern, and hip-hop dance since she was little, started music lessons at the age of seven, and hasn’t looked back. She’s thrilled that she gets to use her fun, upbeat song as a way to get the party started here in Yerevan.
‘It’s really great! I didn’t expect it, but they picked my country to open the live show, and it’s going to be a really cool opening!’
You might be wondering why the song from the Netherlands is called La Festa when the phrase “the party” in Dutch is actually “het feest”. Luna’s song taps into her family’s roots in Italy, and she hopes that her message of joy crosses borders.
‘It’s really fun, because you have a bit of international words, so it’s not only Dutch or only English. There’s something for everybody!’
And what better way to throw a party than with your friends? Luna’s joined on stage by a quartet of dancers who have been by her side since before her National Final. Along with Kainy, Kaylee, Sam and Elisa, the Dutch team have been working hard to make their performance fabulous, but they always make time to have fun, too.
‘We’ve gotten really close. We’ve been practicing and practicing a lot together and now we’re here in Armenia! The four of them have connecting rooms so we can all chill together. We work really really hard, but the moments of rest are so much fun!’
