Maria Iside Fiore
Maria Iside Fiore was born in Carrara in 2004 and lives in Sarzana, Liguria, where she attends the musical section of the local junior high school. She plays clarinet and sings in the school choir.When Maria Iside was four, she started dancing in the Danzabilmente group, which promotes the integration of disabilities through the dance. She is still an active member of the ensemble. In 2015 she started singing solo thanks to her teacher and the following year she took part in several talent shows and contests at a local and national level.
In 2016 she was a finalist of the junior section in the national contest Cantagiro. She also sang a cover of Anna Tatangelo’s Libera as part of a CD project raising awareness of violence against women. In 2017 she participated again in Cantagiro, qualifying for the Semi-Final and debuted as an actress in a production with the Marilontani theatre company. The song that Maria Iside Fiore will sing in Tbilisi is Scelgo (My Choice). It depicts a young girl’s dilemma about her future. Her choice is made: she will not bend to the fear of the unknown and the different: she will be open and freely express herself and her feelings.
About the song writers and composers
Stefano Rigamonti is a composer, author, pianist, arranger, producer and writer. He’s been studying music for a long time, attending the Francesco Petrarca Musical High School as well as the Saint Louis Music Academy in Rome. He’s been writing, producing and arranging music for both Italian and international productions for many years and has worked with several record labels. His songs have selected been selected to take part in Zecchino d'oro 2016 and 2017. He is currently working on writing a musical and a novel.
Marco Iardella is a composer, arranger and music producer. After studying Choir Composition and Direction in which he graduated at the G. Frescobaldi Conservatory of Ferrara, Marco worked as a composer and arranger with many Italian artists. A major part of his work is directed at the children’s world. Marco has composed many entries in the Zecchino d'Oro contest and won several prizes including the first prize in 2013. In 2016, he was among the authors of Fiamma Boccia’s Cara Mamma, which won the third prize at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Fabrizio Palaferri is an author and director as well as a TV and music producer. After his experience in the field of major TV events such as the Three Tenors concert in Caracalla in 1990, he worked as an author for TV shows and events for the Great Jubilee in 2000. Fabrizio specialises in family and kids shows such as Christmas Eve events and Mothers’ Day shows. Since 2000, he has been the artistic director of the Zecchino d’Oro contest and was the executive producer of the 14 series of 181 cartoon clips which illustrate current and classic Zecchino songs. Since 2016, Fabrizio has been the artistic director of the Italian team for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
