Fidan Huseynova
Fidan Huseynova will represent Azerbaijan at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk with the song 'I Wanna Be Like You'.Fidan Huseynova was born on 24 November 2005 in Moscow and is currently a 6th-grade student at the Baku Oxford School. Besides her school education, she also takes vocal lessons at a music school named after Tofiq Guliyev, an Azerbaijani composer, pianist and conductor.
She surely is an artist, having performed the world-known song Je Suis Malade together with Lara Fabian (who represented Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1988) in Baku in 2014. One year later, they performed Je T’aime in Istanbul.
In 2016, Fidan was awarded a scholarship and her name was added to the 'Golden Book of Young Talents' by order of Azerbaijani President Aliyev. She also performed abroad in 2018 in Vienna and Italy. In Vienna, she performed at the 'Creating the Bridge via songs' concert and in Italy, Fidan performed at the Sanremo Junior Festival, where she was awarded 3rd place.
Not only has Fidan shown that she has a talent for singing, but she also happens to be a great chess player! She started taking chess lessons in 2010 and has won several awards in numerous tournaments, including a championship in Azerbaijan in 2017.
