Angélina
Angélina will represent France at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk with the song 'Jamais Sans Toi'.When she was only 5, Angelina covered Colors of the wind from the movie Pocahontas at a charity event, and that day changed her life. When she thinks about it now, Angelina recalls the event to be a ‘revelation’.
Even though no one in her family had music skills, Angelina was born in the South of France with a beautiful singing voice. Every person who has known Angelina since she was young will tell you that she had spectacular vocal skills and interests at a young age. This girl never stops singing: “Even when brushing her teeth”, says her mother.
When she was very young, she would turn the family car into her own personal music studio and would sing her favorite songs with precision. At home, her parents introduced her to salsa and jazz music. As time went by, she improved and gained self-confidence until the day she won the French edition of one of the biggest talent shows in the world. Since then, she has been living her dream: to become a singer.
She can hardly believe that she is about to enter the big leagues and such a dream. Her next step: participating at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk with her song Jamais Sans Toi. Her goal: to discover Europe, have fun and make France proud!
Angelina describes herself as a real music addict. When she is not at school, she is using online streaming and other digital platforms that keep her connected to music. She also dances a lot, her second passion. She likes to give performances by embodying the characters of the songs she is covering. Her musical influences are both French and international: Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, Stromae, Amir and many others.
Her first single Jamais sans toi is a universal story about friendship. The song was inspired by her best friend Pauline: “Being genuine while singing is easy when I can relate to the lyrics of the song”, she admits. “In this song, there is a lot of myself!” There is no doubt that the young public - and the older too - will relate to this song. Angelina has the key to connect with her audience: ”The more I will sing with my heart, the more people will connect to my songs.”
