Coming from the sunny coastal city of Durrës, one might think that Albania’s Kejtlin Gjata might be having a tough time with the December cold here in Armenia, but it’s quite the opposite - she brings joy and warmth with her wherever she goes!

Her song, Pakëz Diell, which translates as ‘A Bit of Sunlight’, is a perfect example. This emotional ballad, with lyrics written by Kejtlin herself, is a prayer to the moon, which watches over all of us.

'My wish for the world is that we share our lives with love and peace with everyone!'

Eleven year old Kejtlin loves listening to and performing timeless melodies, listing O sole mio as one of her favourite tunes, but there’s room on her playlist for new classics, like the soundtrack from The Greatest Showman or her personal go-to karaoke song, You Raise Me Up.

'It fits my voice perfectly, and I really feel the message!'

She takes a lot of her musical influence from lyrical performers like Adele and Josh Groban, artists that can beautifully convey their feelings through their vocals. These are some big vocal shoes to fill, but Kejtlin dreams big, and hopes to make music her life’s work.
