Mylène & Rosanne
The girls share their passion for dancing, acting and singing and when they are on stage, it feels like home to them. The cheerful identical twin sisters Mylène and Rosanne were born in 2000 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Even though they look alike, there are enough differences. When you get to know them better you will notice that Rosanne is right handed and a bit taller than her sister, while Mylène is much more organized and left handed.
During the time that Mylène was taking ballet classes and playing important parts in big musicals such as, ‘Shrek’ and ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,’ Rosanne developed her skills in gymnastics and even became the National Champion of the Netherlands in 2009.
The Dutch audience saw the twins together on stage as the fairy twins in the musical ‘Droomvlucht’ and they were part of the Dutch choir ‘Kinderen voor Kinderen.’ When Mylène and Rosanne are not on stage or at school, they fill their free time with playing tennis, football or taking classes for singing, dancing and acting.
Because they liked performing together, they decided to apply for the Dutch National selections of the Junior Eurovision Song contest. They already decided that they wanted to write a song about being twin sisters. ‘Double Me’ tells the story of twins looking in the mirror, looking almost alike, but if you take a close look, you will see the differences! Especially for the fans, Mylène and Rosanne want everybody to know that ever person is special and unique no matter where you are from.
A cheerful, happy act was created together with producer Tjeerd Oosterhuis and the choreographers and dancers from the Lucia Marthas Institute for performing Arts. With an overwhelming support from the audience, they won the Dutch selections. Now Mylène en Rosanne are ready to conquer the stage in Kiev and leave a long lasting memory to the audience, just like Ralf Mackenbach did in 2009 when he won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv!
