Elena Mannouri & Charis Savva
Elena Mannouri and Charis Savva are the lucky pair who won the ticket to represent Cyprus with their song Gioupi Gia! The girls are very excited to be taking part in this year’s Junior Eurovision and are looking forward to welcoming all the participants to their home country.Elena, age 11 and Charis, age 10, met years ago during phonetic lessons and went on to become very good friends. They both take lessons in piano, dance, theatre and English.
They have both taken part in singing competitions at home and abroad. In 2007, Elena won first place in the Larnaka Song Competition in the foreign song category, and the Best Performance Award with the song Je T’Aime.
At just 7 years old, Charis participated in a television song competition and was selected amongst the top 10 from 100 songs. In 2007, Charis also won 1st place in the Greek Song category at the Larnaka Song Competition.
The musical arrangement is by Andreas Georgallis from CITY studio. Their vocal coach is Riana Athanasiou and the choreography is by Antigoni Tasouri.
Dancing along-side the girls is Pantelina Charalampous, Thereza Koshi, Elena Zacharia Avraam and Christia Herecleous.
