Anna Kearney
Anna Kearney is 13 years old from Foxrock in County Dublin. A seasoned performer, she has already appeared on Broadway and at the National Concert Hall in Ireland.Anna is not the first in her family to aspire towards the Eurovision. Her mum Eileen performed on the Eurovision stage with River Dance in 1994. She has twin brothers, and her whole family is very proud of her accomplishments; they were all in tears when she qualified for the Contest. Once in Poland, Anna looks forward to soaking up the atmosphere and giving appreciation for being able to perform on a beautiful stage in front of so many people.
Anna's song, Banshee, is about overcoming adversity and fear with the help of those who love us and how we can rely on our courage to help us through challenges in life. "The Banshee is an Irish mythological spirit which is said to appear when someone we know is close to death, in my song she is a symbol of our worst fears and adversity. We all have to face the Banshee from time to time and with courage and help from those who love us we can rise above. Love conquers all!"
