Sophie Lennon will represent Ireland

23 October 2022 at 22:47 CEST
Sophie Lennon has triumphed at 'Junior Eurovision Éire' and will represent the Emerald Isle in Yerevan on Sunday 11 December.

For the first time ever, Ireland’s Junior Eurovision representative was chosen exclusively by televote.

All three hopefuls (including Clare Keeley and Niamh Noade), gave impressive performances, but it was Sophie that received both high praise from the studio judges (there to lend their expert assessments) and the audience at home, with fantastic renditions of Tom Walker’s Leave A Light On and Linda Martin’s Why Me?

Sophie’s song will be revealed in the coming weeks.
