Bulgaria made its Junior Eurovision Song Contest debut in 2007 in Rotterdam when Bon-Bon took to the stage with 'BonBolandiya'.

Their best result came in 2014 when Krisia, Hasan and Ibrahim performed Planet of the Children in Malta.

In 2015, broadcaster  Balgarska Natsionalna Televizia (BNT) organised the 13th edition of the Contest in Sofia, the capital city.

Poli Genova hosted the show, who was Bulgaria’s participant at the Eurovision Song Contest in both 2011 and 2016.
