Spain's Carlos Higes goes from Valencia to Ibiza…to Yerevan!
10 December 2022 at 12:00 CETAfter watching Junior Eurovision 2019, Carlos quickly became enamored with the song Colours of Your Dream, the entry by Armenian singer Karina Ignatyan. When he realized that one of his schoolteachers was also Armenian, he threw himself learning more about the language, culture, and food of the country. Carlos even sang a little snippet of Karina’s song while appearing on La Voz Kids earlier this year.
His Junior Eurovision path came full circle when he realized that he would get the chance to perform here in Yerevan, and adding to the coincidence is the fact that Karina will be one of this year’s hosts!
‘A few years ago, I heard her on Eurovision, and now, getting to meet her is amazing, like a dream come true!’
Eleven-year-old Carlos is going to be performing his sunny Latin pop song, Señorita, which is guaranteed to make you forget about the cold December weather you might be having outside. Just turn up the music, grab your friends, and dance your problems away!

Carlos made it to the Semifinals of La Voz Kids this year, and had also been seen on Idol Kids back in 2020. He’s grateful for his previous television experience, but realizes that competing here in Yerevan is a whole different level!
‘The Voice and Idol Kids were just for Spain, and Junior Eurovision is for all of Europe and the whole world! It’s amazing, and I’m a little bit more nervous, but I’m also so excited!’
If Señorita makes you want to get up and dance, be sure to vote for Spain at Junior Eurovision 2022!
