28 May 2015 at 01:10 CEST

We have our first entry! Only a few days after the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest, the Albanian national broadcaster TVSH had its National Final to choose the artist that will represent the country in Bulgaria.

The "Festivali i 51-të I Kënges për Fëmije" took place tonight in Tirana and had 14 acts. A jury composed by 5 members chose the winner, and 2 of the members of the jury were former Albanian Eurovision artists: Olta Boka (Eurovision 2008) and Juliana Pasha (Eurovision 2010), who sang a bit of her entry It's all about you. Another Eurovision contestant, Kejsi Tola (Eurovision 2009) was present during the interval act and performed her entry Carry me in your dreams.

After the jury voting, Mishela Rapo was announced as the winner of the competition with the song Dambaje. Other competing songs got special mentions such as Hëna – çapkënia, performed by Dario Zela; and Jeto, performed by Wendi Mancaku and Vanesa Sono.

Dambaje will be the second Albanian entry at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The country entered the competition for the first time in 2012 with Igzidora Gjeta and the song Kam Një Këngë Vetëm Për Ju, which finished 12th in Amsterdam.
