Malta's Ela Mangion will travel to Minsk for Junior Eurovision 2018

In an exciting national final, 16 participants gave it their all to become the Maltese representative for this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Ela Mangion finished first with her song 'Marchin' On'.

Marchin’ On has been written by Emil Calleja Bayliss and is composed by Cyprian Cassar.

Second place was for Katryna and Rihanna with their song The Puppet and the Clown. Giorgia Borg ended third with her song 10.

The show, broadcast by TVM, featured children aged between 9 and 14, who all performed an original song of 2.5 to 3 minutes’ duration. The night was presented by Maltese actress, TV personality and social media influencer, Taryn Mamo Cefai. A special appearance was made by Malta's participant of the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Gianluca Cilia. He performed his track Dawra Tond.

Ela Mangion was born on the 6th of January of 2006 and has been singing since 2012. Ela first participated in the national final of Junior Eurovision in Malta 2 years ago. At the moment, she has already represented Malta in more than 5 international competitions including ‘New Wave Junior’ in Russia back in 2016, where she became second.  She also participated in the ‘Euro Pop Contest’ in Berlin last November, which she won. Currently, Ela is taking piano lessons and is busy composing music.
