Malta will be represented by Yulan in Nice

Yulan wins Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023
Malta has its artist for the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Yulan will represent the Maltese in Nice in November, with the competing song to be selected next month.

On Saturday 12 August, Yulan earned the honour of representing her country when she won Malta's pre-selection competition - Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023. Yulan triumphed in the contest competing against 11 other performers.

Yulan embarked on her musical journey through singing lessons at the age of 5, and she has also taken up both the violin and piano. A big fan of performing at festivals and participating in competitions, Yulan loves to meet like-minded artists and gain further experience on the stage.

To date, she has participated in The Voice Kids Malta, Malta's Got Talent, and New Wave Junior in Russia. The young performer has also competed in Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest three times before securing her first win in the 2023 edition of the contest.

As well as aiming to be a a pop superstar, Yulan is also hoping to pursue a career in medicine, with becoming a doctor being her ultimate goal.

After her win on Saturday, Yulan was asked what her favourite quote to live by is, to which she replied:

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure”.

With that mindset, Yulan clearly has an exciting future of opportunities ahead of her!
