Yulan has fought some battles to represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and now she’s heading to the stage in Nice with her song ‘Stronger.’

This is an artist who loves being on stage. After being a runner up on The Voice Kids Malta and Malta’s Got Talent, there’s one big singing contest that Yulan Law has left to conquer. Competing in Junior Eurovision has been a dream for Yulan for a long time.

She’s been close to realising her dream 3 times before, but in 2023 Yulan's made it to Nice, after winning her national final, the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

And if you think Yulan’s musical talents lie purely in singing, you’d be wrong. She’s also an accomplished violinist and pianist.

Alongside Yulan herself, there’s a team of talented songwriters behind Stronger. Yulan’s had help from music producer John-Emil Johansson, songwriter Sandra Wikström, songwriter and singer Isak Alvedahl, and singer-songwriter Elise Hedengren, who also co-wrote Eurovision 2013 winner Emmelie De Forest’s single Typical Love Song. There’s certainly some Eurovision super human strength in this composition.

Head to Yulan’s social media, and you’ll see her acoustic covers of some of her favourite songs. Sitting at her white piano, Yulan smashes out Kenya Grace’s Strangers, Rihanna’s Stay, and Billie Eilish’s Lovely on a shiny new recording microphone which she got for her birthday. Yulan is clearly all about the power pop tunes, and it shows in Stronger.

Yulan says: “There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure”.
