Krisia: a good luck charm for her Bulgarian team against Liverpool

27 November 2014 at 15:50 CET

The small-but-beloved Bulgarian princess was a specially invited guest to the event with the hope that her presence would bring luck to the Bulgarian team, which desperately needed a good result against the far superior - in terms of history and traditions - FC Liverpool.

It seems that this strategy worked quite well for the Bulgarian squad as they grabbed a well-deserved 2:2 draw after a late equalizer.

Before the game Krisia was the main attraction during the welcoming reception held the so-called 'Champions club' organised by UEFA.  This time, however, she was content to relax and enjoy being a spectator at the game.

Earlier this year she was the starring singer at the Europe League clash between Ludogorets and Valencia.  Then she performed the Bulgarian national anthem and the legendary song 'Moya strana, moya Bulgaria' (My country, my Bulgaria) in front of more than 40,000 fans.

In the same week that her piano accompanists, Hassan and Ibrahim also won first and second places in the 3rd International 'Andrei Stoyanov' Piano competition, we still wonder if any of the three #JESC2014 trophy winners for Bulgaria know what a 'quiet week' is!
