Junior Eurovision fans #together - Part 5!

02 July 2014 at 17:49 CEST

Hi everybody!! My name is Xenia, I am 12 years old and I live in Grenoble in France. I speak French, and also Russian because my mother is from Russia! When somebody asks me where I come from, I always answer "I'm a Russian girl with a French education".

Because my mother is from Moscow, she watches a lot of Russian television shows - and in 2009, I saw the Russian presselection for Junior Eurovision for the first time. Katya Ryabova won, and I very much liked her song - I was a very big fan of hers!

In 2009 I didn't watch the Junior Eurovision final because it wasn’t shown on "RTR Planeta",  and I didn't know that I could also see it online.

So every year I watched the Russian selection, but not the international contest, and it made me very sad. But in 2012, I found the website junioreurovision.tv, and I watched the broadcast there. I liked it a lot! For me, Lerika was the best! But I also liked Ukraine and the Netherlands very much!

In 2013, I came in Kyiv to watch the contest and I stayed in the official hotel, where all the participants of Junior Eurovision were staying, it was amazing! And I saw Katya Ryabova! In 2009 it was my dream, I never thought that I'll see her one time! I took a lot of pictures with all of the participants and I was very happy!

I hope that in 2014 I'll come in Malta on the JESC and I'll have a lot of fun like in Kyiv!
