Spanish broadcaster RTVE will host the 22nd Junior Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday 16 November at the Caja Mágica in Madrid.

RTVE has taken over the organisation of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest after winners of the 2023 Contest, France, handed the opportunity to another country. France had hosted Junior Eurovision twice in the past three years.

Spain accepted the invitation following Sandra Valero's second-place finish at Nice 2023 with Loviu

Let’s Bloom has been chosen as the slogan and theme for this year, which references the blossoming of young artists as they take the stage and perform at the event.

The presenter lineup features a performer who has hosted Benidorm Fest, a superstar of Spanish film and television, and a young singer who gave Spain a bronze-medal finish at Junior Eurovision.

Our Hosts for Junior Eurovision 2024: Ruth, Marc & Melani

Ruth Lorenzo, Marc Clotet and Melani García will host Junior Eurovision 2024

Ruth Lorenzo will be a familiar face to Eurovision fans, with the Murcia-born artist having represented Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014. Ten years ago in Copenhagen, Ruth gave Spain a Top 10 finish at the Contest with her song Dancing In The Rain. Since then, her career in music has continued, with the singer also branching out into television hosting. Amongst other shows, Ruth has hosted Spain's Eurovision pre-selection Benidorm Fest.

Award-winning actor, Marc Clotet has starred in a wide range of roles across film (La Voz Dormida, El Jugador De Ajedrez), television (Física o Química, Amar Es Para Siempre) and theatre (Amantes, Tengo Tantas Personalidades). Marc has also founded his own production company, in 2021. His very first series was co-produced with RTVE, titled Esto No Es Suecia. It was awarded honours at both the Cannes Series Festival and the Prix Europa Awards.

Already a shining star in the Junior Eurovision world, Melani García represented Spain at the 2019 Contest, which was held in Gliwice, Poland.

With her song Marte, Melani gave Spain a third-place finish with 212 points, and the young singer has since gone on to release more music, as well as work in theatre and television. In 2022, she was nominated as Best Spanish Artist at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. And one year before she gave Spain that medal finish at Junior Eurovision, Melani won the 2018 series of La Voz Kids.
