Giorgi Rostiashvili is Georgia's hopeful for Junior Eurovision 2019

Georgian Public Broadcaster GPB has chosen Giorgi Rostiashvili to represent Georgia at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Gliwice-Silesia on 24 November.

Giorgi was born on 18 August 2006. When he was only 8 years old, he became the best little soloist and won the first National Competition of Children's and Youth Choral Collections in Tbilisi, Georgia. Next to being a soloist, he also studies the piano.

In 2019, he became the winner of Ranina, Georgia's national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Since their debut in 2007 in Rotterdam, Georgia has participated in every Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Georgia is the only country that has won the contest three times; in 2008, 2011 and 2016. Out of ten participations, Georgia has finished inside the top ten on nine occasions.

In 2018, Tamar Edilashvili represented her country with the song Your Voice. She placed 8th with 144 points:
