Ayana will compete for Netherlands in Paris 🇳🇱

Ayana has won the ‘Het Junior Songfestival' national final in Rotterdam and will represent Netherlands at Junior Eurovision in Paris on Sunday 19 December.

Ayana is 14 years old and lives in Bussum, North Holland, with her English father and Japanese mother.

She won with the song Mata Sugu Aō Ne, which means ‘When I See You Again’. It is a ballad about missing those close to you and wishing to fly to be with them; a theme close to Ayana’s heart as she has not seen her relatives in Japan for a long time because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show, presented by Romy Monteiro and Buddy Vedder, saw four acts perform in front of an all star jury, which included: Jeangu Macrooy, Emma Heesters and Rolf Sanchez.
