Roksana, or Roxie, Węgiel is a 13-year-old vocalist who won the first season of The Voice Kids Poland. She is a girl full of energy and always does what she believes in.
Before pursuing her career in singing, she trained acrobatics, judo and dance. But her biggest passion has always been singing and music. Roksana’s mature voice impressed her The Voice Kids Poland coach Edyta Górniak, who represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994: “I thought she was not real. I’m not sure whether Beyonce had such a strong voice as Roksana has at her age.” This was Roxie’s real breakthrough moment.
Roksana discovered her singing talent in a very unusual way: she was participating in a judo camp karaoke contest where she received a lot of positive feedback on her voice. This encouraged her to work hard to develop her singing skills. Her first single, titled Żyj (Live), has over 8 million views on YouTube and she has over 200.000 followers on social media. Roksana’s latest single, titled Obiecuję (I promise) has shown a very different side of her and also became popular among fans. Currently Roksana Węgiel is working on her debut album.
