Latvia joined Junior Eurovision Song at the inaugural edition in 2003 which took place in Copenhagen.
Their first participant was Dzintars Čīča with the song Tu Esi Vasarā (‘You Are In Summer’) which finished a respectable 9th.
Šarlote and the Sea Stones scored a second top ten placement in 2010 with Viva la Dance (Dejo Tā).
Moondog by Amanda Bašmakova was the last Latvian entry in 2011.
