In 2005, the big Eurovision Song Contest already took place in Ukraine. "We are very proud and honoured to welcome children from all over Europe to Ukraine next year, and we are looking forward to host a great show," said Viktoria Romanova, who is the 'boss' of the Ukrainian delegation at the contest.
The 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 22nd of November in Lemesos, Cyprus. Azerbaijan will take part in the competition for the first time.
Update: Next year's competition is set to take place on Saturday the 21st of November, 2009.
