01 June 2015 at 11:41 CEST

Anyone who would like to follow in the footsteps on Gaia Cauchi and Federica Falzon now has their chance to do so, with Maltese broadcaster PBS giving notice of the submission period for Junior Eurovision 2015. Songs, which may be original or cover tracks, will need to be submitted on 19 June between 09:00-16:00 at PBS's Creativity Hub in Gwardamangia. As per Junior Eurovision rules, up to six people may be on stage, pre-recording backing vocals are allowed, and all participants needing to be aged 10-15 by 21 November.

This selection procedure will select the artist or artists that will represent Malta in Junior Eurovision. The song that they will sing will be decided later jointly by PBS, the artist(s), and his/her representative. The artist(s) will be chosen in a live show on 11 July, 'Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest', on 11 July at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta; with the decision being made by three jury members, and a televote that will count as the fourth Jury member.

A copy of the full regulations and application form may be obtained by sending an email to [email protected]. For further details, please see PBS' website by clicking: here.
