It was an exciting evening in Armenia. A couple of weeks before, 30th of June, a jury selected seven finalists for their national selection for the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Now it was up to them to take the victory home!

Our young stars gave dazzling performances but it was finally Luara who won the hearts of the jury and the televoters with a song written about the football team Barcelona.

She will now represent Armenia in Kyiv at the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest on the 21st of November. Good luck, Luara!

Armenia has taken part twice in the contest, finishing second the first time in 2007 with Arevik's Erazanq. Last year Monika Manchuarova got the eighth place with her Im Ergi Hnchyune.
