29 September 2017 at 22:15 CESTGianluca was born in 2007 and began singing at the age of six. He first participated in a major competition in 2015 and a year later he took part in an international singing festival in Romania. In 2017 he won the Maltese national selection for Junior Eurovision. He competed against nine other acts in the live final which was broadcast from the Maltese capital Valletta. All contestants performed covers of well-known songs and the winner was chosen by televoting. Check out his winning moment below:
Malta is one of the most successful countries in Junior Eurovision in recent years, winning two out of the last four editions of the competition. Last year the contest was held in the Maltese capital, Valletta.
Dawra Tond, Malta's Junior Eurovision entry for 2017, is a fun, uptempo number performed in both English and Maltese. The video for the song features Gianluca and his friends dancing and singing in the streets of Malta. Watch the official video below!
