Irish Update: 50 acts set for final auditions

03 July 2015 at 16:47 CEST

From hundreds of applicants that were seen across nationwide auditions in Ireland, now just 50 acts remain in the process to become Ireland's debut entry at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

On 19 July, these top 50 will perform in front of a panel of adjudicators. The judges will be looking not only at each act's singing abilities, but also on the song that they have written for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. From these 50, 30 will then be selected to perform in front of the nation on the televised national selection series on TG4 - with the winner going on to represent Ireland in Sofia.

TG4 will be presenting more information very shortly, especially concerning the names of some of the judges for the live television shows!
