It’s a busy day in La Seine Musicale as dress rehearsals are well underway in preparation for the big show tomorrow! JuniorEurovision.tv joined the official Press Conference introducing our hosts for Junior Eurovision: Carla, Élodie Gossuin and Olivier Minne.
Nice native Carla joins an exclusive club of Junior Eurovision alumni who’ve returned to host the show (the others being Lizi Japaridze, Helena Meraai, and Roksana Węgiel, if you’re keeping track).
Since her appearance at Junior Eurovision in 2019, Carla’s become a viral sensation! Bim Bam Toi topped the Spotify Top 50 Viral chart in France, became a mainstay on TikTok, and has even become a dance on Fortnite.
She’s released two albums in the past two years (L’autre moi and Sans filtre) and even got the chance to present the French points at Eurovision in 2021.
On hosting Junior Eurovision this year, Carla tells us:
'It’s was an incredible experience performing in Gliwice, and it’s a Christmas gift to be co-hosting the show with Élodie and Olivier.’
The young host also wouldn’t rule out competing in the Eurovision Song Contest, and said that it would be a very big adventure.
From Miss Europe 2001 to the hallowed halls of politics to television and radio presenting, Élodie Gossuin has become one of France’s most well-known faces.
Between 2016 and 2018, she presented France’s jury points at Eurovision, and was part of the jury that helped send Barbara Pravi and Voilà to Rotterdam.
Olivier Minne is a familiar name to French television fans as the host of popular programs such as La Cible and Fort Boyard.
Olivier is no stranger to the Eurovision family, too, having presented the French votes in 1992 and 1993, as well as providing broadcast commentary from 1995 through 1997.
The host told the press conference:
‘I feel at home here at Junior Eurovision – I’ve commentated on the show so often in the ‘90s, it’s an honour to be working on this production.’
