Introducing 2015: A dare to change from Georgia

03 November 2015 at 15:48 CET

Having contested every Junior Eurovision since 2007, and with two wins to their name, Georgia are one of the competition's most successful countries. This year a quartet of young singers will represent them, known as 'The Virus'.

About the artists

The Virus are individually: Elen (11), Tako (12), Lizi (12), and Data (11), and all come from the Bzikebistudio music studio in Tbilisi. They were selected internally by national broadcaster GPB over the summer, and then set about working on their song together with composer Giga Kukhianidze. When they're not at school the band members all have lots of hobbies: Elen enjoys swimming, Takp drawing, Lizi painting, and Data playing football.

About the song

"Gabede" is a song which challenges, or 'dares', people to break their normal routines. It takes you through the daily routine of getting up early thanks to the sound of an alarm clock, washing, and going to school - but lays down the challenge of making changes to your life.

Try to dare encourage to change yourself
And change today all what you do not like
Try to dare encourage to change yourself
And change today all what you do not like

On stage in Sofia, we expect to see The Virus in a blue and white setting resembling a club or disco!
