Gianluca Cilia will represent Malta in Tbilisi

Gianluca Cilia has won the Maltese national selection and will represent his country at the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Tbilisi in November. The singer was the youngest participant this year and he beat off strong competition from Veronica Rotin who finished second and Rianne Demicoli who finished third.

Ten participants took part in the live final which was broadcast from the Maltese capital Valletta. All contestants performed covers of well-known songs and the winner was chosen by televoting.

Last year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in Malta and this year's edition will take place in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.
