Betty
11-year-old Betty (Elizabeth Danielyan) will represent Armenia at Junior Eurovison 2014 in Malta with her song “People of the Sun”.This song is just like Betty, as she is as warm as the sun: a bright girl with plenty of interests and dreams. Besides going to school, Betty takes lessons in voice and classical dance. Handicrafts like origami and embroidery also play an essential role in her everyday life.
Parallel with all of this, she has another life where she has already managed to reach enormous success: television. Betty is one of the most popular young presenters in Armenia, regularly holding interviews with both her peers and with famous grown-up artists as well. She hosts various youth concerts and takes part in different projects and photo shoots.
Last year, Betty performed with a band at the Armenian National Selection for Junior Eurovision 2013 and took 2nd place. Undaunted, she felt it was a great motivator for her to get more practice and experience so that she could represent Armenia at the upcoming JESC 2014 in Malta.
Together with composer Mane Hakobyan, lyricist Avet Barseghyan and arranger Martin Mirzoyan, Betty achieved her goal: she professionally performed at this year's Armenian National Selection. Her confidence and strong belief in the victory lead her to success. Betty’s biggest dream is to see all kids around the world having a happy, sunny, and a peaceful childhood.
She wants all the juniors of the planet not to get disappointed with the small things and become helpful people for the whole world: People of the Sun!
