Steering Group meets in Kyiv

After a full day of presentations by host broadcaster NTU on all aspects of Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 the Steering Group were extremely impressed.

"Their attention to detail is incredible," JESC Steering Group Chairperson Ekaterina Orlova said.  "I was impressed by the show in 2009 but this time they have managed to combine the element of fun and high-tech wizardry to create an event that will be like no other live show ever seen in this country."

The Steering Group were shown a whole variety of items relating to this year's event, including: the stage design, story concept, logo, three winners' prizes, rehearsal schedules, the running order plans, the social program for Junior Eurovision participants, and the media and press arrangements. They were also shown NTU's grand plans for the enormous Palace of Arts Ukraine, where the contest will be staged.

Roman Keryk of host broadcaster NTU confirmed that this will be the largest event held stage in the Palace of Arts Ukraine! Taking the Steering Group on a tour of the building, he pointed out the sweeping changes that would be made to accommodate the contestants, delegates, media, fans and audience members with room for a Euro Club zone for the kids to dance and party in afterwards. "We want everyone involved to see how proud we are to be hosting and that our slogan 'Be Creative' has come to life," he said.

We will be presenting all of these concepts and items to you in the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned!
