In September, Sofia Feskova from St. Petersburg won the Russian national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her song 'My New Day'. Now, the music video for her song has been released!

Sofia was chosen to represent Russia out of more than 100 applicants. Her song, My New Day was written by herself, Anna Petryasheva and Vitaly Tomin. When asked about her favourite lyric Sofia said: "The most favourite lyric in my song is: 'The whole world feels like home; there I’ll stay, It’s my new day.' This line is a call and reminder from a child for every adult: never be embarrassed to believe in miracles, create your own ‘fairy tale,’ and then your every 'new day will be great!'"

Sofia is 11-years-old and her big dream is to some day sing on the same stage with her idol Polina Gagarina who represented Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015.

Sofia is the 16th participant for Russia at the Contest. Russia debuted at the contest in 2005 and took part in every Contest since. The country has won the competition twice, in 2006 with the Tolmachevy Twins and Vesenniy Jazz and again in 2017 when Polina Bogusevich took the trophy with her song Wings.
