Mikhail Smirnov: "Eurovision is the best contest in the world"

Mikhail was wearing a dark blue suit and seemed very confident on stage while rehearsing his song 'Mechta'. He was not alone on stage; he was joined by a female dancer dressed in white, who first appeared lying on a hammock with the shape of the Moon. The background was dark as well, and full of stars, representing the 'dream' Mikhail sings about in his song. He was positive about his first rehearsal: "It was very good. The stage is very big and it was amazing. I liked the sound a lot as well."

He also praised the contest, since "Eurovision is the best contest in the world and everyone in Russia and in the rest of the world watches it!" and told us a little secret, his lucky charm! "At the airport, my sister gave me a very small toy, a bear, which is my charm and will help me on stage."
