Heads of delegations meet in Valletta

The annual head of delegation meeting for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest takes place in the host city the month before the live show. It is a valuable opportunity for the host broadcaster to update the participating countries on the plans for the contest as well as provide practical information relating to the event week.

Chief Executive of Maltese broadcaster PBS, John Bundy, welcomed the guests and the wider team at PBS praised Bulgaria's broadcaster, BNT, for their successful staging of the contest last year in Bulgaria. 

The 2016 contest will take place on a Sunday for the first time and has been moved from an evening broadcast to a primetime afternoon slot. 17 countries will compete in the contest this year which will be held in Malta for the second time in three years.
