Emilija Djonin: "The stage is just unbelievable"

11 November 2014 at 17:01 CET

Emilija is sitting at a black piano at the start of the song. The backdrop is black, with lots of red rose petals flying, and blue and yellow lights light up the stage very nicely. Emilija doesn't have any backing singers, nor dancers, which gives her the perfect opportunity to use her strong vocals. And she does it well!

As the bridge of the song kicks in before the final chorus, Emilija leaves the piano, and walks to the centre of the stage to give a powerful ending to her song. The backdrop also turns into flying red and white stripes, making triangle effects. She also has good eye-contact with the camera.

When we asked her about the stage, Emilija said: "The stage is unbelievable, I didn't think it would be so big, with amazing lights! I didn't know how I will sound, because I'm not used to using an ear-monitor, but I think it was just great."

She also added: "I met all participants here, and no one is competing against each other, and we don't see each other as competition. All of us became really good friends, and we hang out together whenever we can."

Emilija will have her second rehearsal at the same time on Thursday morning, and on Saturday evening she will perform 14th.
