David Charlin has been selected to represent Kazakhstan at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia.
The singer from Almaty won singing contest Baqytty Bala in Aktobe and took to Instagram to thank his fans:
‘Friends, thank you all for your congratulations! What happened yesterday is like a dream or a fairytale.
There’s a lot of hard work ahead but I’m happy because music is my life!’
The Bagytty Bala festival has been running since 2018, and has seen hundreds of children participate over the years. This year, from over 200 applicants, 21 artists were chosen to perform in the competition’s final.
David will follow in the footsteps of Alinur Khamzin & Beknur Zhanibekuly who represented Kazakhstan last year in Paris with Ертегі әлемі (Fairy World).
