Australia's Alexa: "Let's get out there and do this!"

18 November 2016 at 12:30 CET
Alexa Curtis is Australia's second Junior Eurovision participant and will perform her song, We Are, on Sunday. The twelve year old rehearsed for the second time today and was happy and relaxed when she met JuniorEurovision.tv.

Alexa wore a sparkly blue costume on stage and connected well with the cameras. "The rehearsal went very well, I feel confident and happy that I did ok today", she said. The young singer is no stranger to huge competitions; in 2014, when Alexa was only ten years old, she captured Australia’s attention when she won The Voice Kids Australia, with Delta Goodrem as her mentor. She is now signed to Universal Music Australia.

Alexa is enjoying her week so far.  "I'm really excited, being here from Australia with all these kids, of course it's amazing! I love meeting all the different performers from all the different countries, I love them all!" When asked if she's nervous she explained that she's more excited than anything else. "I'm looking forward to showtime, let's get out there and do it!".
