Looking back at Alexa Curtis' week in Valletta

04 December 2016 at 09:00 CET
Alexa Curtis is Australia's second Junior Eurovision participant and performed her song, We Are, live in Valletta last month. The young singer is no stranger to huge competitions; in 2014, when Alexa was only ten years old, she captured Australia’s attention when she won The Voice Kids Australia. Let's look back at Alexa's week in Malta.

Twelve year old Alexa had by far the biggest journey to Malta and to Junior Eurovision. The young singer travelled from Brisbane to participate in the 14th edition of the contest. During the week she made friends with the other participants and even shared how she warmed up her voice before going on stage. Watch the highlights of Alexa's week in Malta below.

Alexa performed 14th in the running order of Junior Eurovision 2016, receiving 12 points from the winning country Georgia. In total she received 202 points finishing in fifth place. Alexa was seen congratulating Mariam from Georgia following her win and was happy to achieve Australia's first ever top five placing in Junior Eurovision. Check out her live performance below.
