Voting for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 has finally opened. Now it’s time for you to choose your favourite artists and give them your support!

Online voting opened on Friday 27 November at 20:00 Central European Time and will remain available until the start of the live show on Sunday 29 November at 17:00 CET. Before you vote you are required to watch the recap of all the performances. You will then be able to watch clips from each participant again too.

Each voter needs to select 3 songs to cast a valid vote. You can vote for your home country if they’re participating in the Contest.

You can help decide who will bring the trophy home by voting online! EBU / Stijn Smulders

During the show

The voting window will re-open once again after the last song has performed in the live show and will close 15 minutes later. Again, the international audience can vote online for 3 countries. Viewers can also vote for their own country’s song.

Your votes will then be turned into points. The online vote will count as 50% of the final score. The other half will be decided by National Juries consisting of 3 music industry professionals and 2 children in each participating country. The amount of points the audience awards is based on the total amounts of points from the National Juries.

As we have 12 participating countries, the juries will award a total of 696 points. Each National Jury will award 58 points (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 12). The audience points are determined by the percentage of votes received per country. For example, if a song gets 20% of the votes, it receives 20% of the available points (20% from 696 points = 139 points).

After the voting has closed all the National Juries and Online Vote will be collected. The hosts will connect to all the participating broadcasters to receive the points from the National Juries. After that, the hosts will announce the points from the Online Vote and that’s when we will finally find out who will be the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020!
