Fiamma Boccia will represent Italy in the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Cara Mamma (Dear Mom). Today she rehearsed on the Junior Eurovision stage for the second time.

Fiamma lives in Florence with her parents and 14-year-old sister Emilia who is also a singer. Her favourite subjects at school include Italian, History, Music, English, German and Science. She has been playing the piano since she was four and started singing at the same age.

The young singer is at ease on the stage and is enjoying her time here in Malta. "The stage is beautiful and powerful. Of course I’m nervous because I want it to be amazing, but I also feel confident! I’m very excited and I’m also proud of our job".

It's clear that Fiamma, like so many of the contestants, is having a great time here in Malta. "We all are friends here, the singers are really friendly and amazing, it’s fantastic!"

Fiamma's favourite entries this year are Water of Life from Russia and Australia’s entry, We Are. Fiamma’s mum, Bernedetta, starred in the video for her Junior Eurovision song Cara Mamma, and has received unexpected attention here in Malta. "The decision to be in the video was completely spontaneous. The fact that people recognise me is surprising, I didn’t expect that!”
