18 acts took part in the national selection, which was held in up in the mountain resort of Bukovel. At the end of the show, it was announced that Тrіо "Sympho-Nick" won!
The voting was an equal split of jury and public votes, with each having a 50% stake. Trio "Sympho-Nick" were awarded equal points by the jury and public, according to the jury President.
Trio Sympho-Nick's song is an ethic style number, entitled "Pryyde vesna" ("Spring will come"). The three girls will now represent Ukraine at this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Malta. At last year's contest, Sofia Tarasova won second prize with her entry "We are one".
