Eight songs have previously been shortlisted to take part in this year's Dutch preselection, which takes place over three weeks. Tonight is the first semifinal, with the othre semifinal taking place this time next weekend.
Contesting tonight's show for one of two places in the final are:
Bobby & Ella - "Hard to Explain"
Chelsea - "Waarom"
Sem - "Jij Staat Op Nummer 1"
Suze - "Holiday"
A combination of adult and child jury voting, together with the televotes of the Dutch public, will decide tonight's qualifiers. The show begins at 19.00 CET and will be shown live on NPO 3.
