Having shown audition highlights already, tonight private broadcaster bTV will broadcast the first live semifinal show of Bulgaria's national selection process. This will be followed by further shows tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday.
In the semifinals, six children will each perform a three minute pop song together with the 'Ku Ku Band' - the resident band of "Slavi's show". The public will be able to choose their favourite of the six to go to the final, by voting online at junioreurovision.bg and by SMS. The jury will choose another two artists, making a total of three from each show and 12 finalists overall. As previously announced, the jury will be comprised of Slavi Trifonov (bTV), Evgeni Dimitrov (7/8 production, and Orlin Pavlov (BNT).
Petya Dikova, a liftstyle journalist from bTV, and Boris Soltariyski, be of the backing vocalists for Ku Ku Band, will host the show that begins at 21:30 local time - 20:30 CET. The acts competing in each show will be kept secret until the broadcast.
