We are continuing to reflect on the Event Week of the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Today we look back at Muireann McDonnell's week in Tbilisi.

Muireann McDonnell is 12 years old and comes from a seaside town called Skerries, near Dublin. She lives with her parents and three brothers and has a dog called Agnes. She represented Ireland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Suile Glasa which translates as 'Green Eyes'.

Muireann is a student of music theory and studies singing, piano and guitar. She enjoys writing her own songs has performed with well-known and popular Irish artists. In her spare time she enjoys playing sport with her brothers including Gaelic football with her club Skerries Harps. During her week in Tbilisi Muireann made friends with her fellow contestants and even learned some Georgian!

Muireann turned 12 the day after the final of Junior Eurovision 2017. Prior to the show she was asked whether she would prefer a Junior Eurovision trophy or a kitten. Her wish came true and she was presented with her new pet when she arrived home in Ireland.

As with all the other contestants Muireann also played the Junior Eurovision Challenge Wheel. Check out the video below:

Suile Glasa, Muireann's Junior Eurovision entry saw her perform alone on stage with her guitar. The simple staging was effective and saw the young singer shine bright in Tbilisi.

Muireann was Ireland's third Junior Eurovision representative. The experiences that the singer had during Junior Eurovision will last for a long time to come!
