The week of... Mina Blažev from F.Y.R. Macedonia

Mina Blažev was born in 2003 in Skopje and her parents say that she first started singing before she could even speak. At Junior Eurovision she represented F.Y.R. Macedonia with the song 'Dancing Through Life', composed by Aleksandar Masevski.

Despite only being 14, Mina has very a wide range of experience of performing. Her biggest achievement was winning the special Pearl Award at the Ezerski Biseri international music festival earlier this year. Mina was also part of a talent show called Pink Stars which is very popular in the Balkan region. To date, she has received a total of seven first prizes, three second and one third prize in national and international competitions. She’s currently attending singing classes at the Zvezdicki Music Academy.


In September Mina won the Macedonian national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017, receiving the highest score from the jury. During Junior Eurovision she had the honour of representing her country. You can watch her performance below!

Aleksandar Masevski has a wealth of experience working as a composer, writer and producer. In 2004 he produced and arranged the song Life, which was the Macedonian entry for the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest performed by Toše Proeski. Aleksandar was also a backing vocalist at the contest which took place in Istanbul, Turkey. In 2009 he wrote and produced the Macedonian entry for Junior Eurovision with singer Sara Markoska. Last year he wrote and produced the Macedonian entry for the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Love Will Lead The Way, performed by Martija Stanojkovic.
