20 August 2015 at 17:03 CEST

Executive Supervisor Vladislav Yakovlev has revealed this afternoon on Twitter that Radio televizija Srbije has confirmed its participation in Junior Eurovision 2015, taking the total number of confirmed countries up to 15.

Serbia returned to the competition last year with Emilija Djonin singing "Svet u mojim očima/World in my eyes", and will mark its seventh participation in the event this year. The broadcaster is expected to announce details of how it will select the entry in due course.

Speaking about the event in Sofia on 21 November, Vladislav Yakovlev said: We now have 15 countries confirmed for this year's Junior Eurovision. Last year we were able to confirm 16 at the end of September, so we are aiming to reach at least the same number before the same date this year. I know everyone, especially the fans of the show, are very excited about more news, but please stay patient - we'll let you know as soon as we have some!"
