Say hello to the ‘faces’ of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest!

16 October 2013 at 21:28 CEST

Host broadcaster  NTU invited talented children from all over Ukraine to audition to be selected as the ‘Faces’ of the contest.

Sixty children participated in several exercises that included introducing themselves, demonstrating their presentation and acting abilities, working with the director, learning how to look directly into the camera and and showing how comfortable they were on stage.

Being assessed by a professional jury that consisted of NTU representatives and famous Ukrainian film directors, the final stage saw the kids auditioning in pairs before the decision was made: Andriy Boiko and Liza Kostiakina.

Liza has been performing for most of life. In 2003 she was a finalist of the television project 'The International Academy of Eurovision' as a part of the group “Shproty” (Sprats), and performed at the Ukrainian national final of JESC 2013 as a member of that group.

Andriy participated in the national selection for JESC 2013 and was also a finalist of the TV project ‘Step to the Stars.’  A big fan of Elvis Presley, he was also in the ‘The Voice: Kids’ in 2012.

The audience will see them both on stage during of the grand opening of the show. More details to come soon.
